Classic yet modern; luxurious yet never cold; refined yet cosy. All of these feelings are woven together in the Neo Classic apartment. We love a challenge, and this home certainly gave us one.
Timeless luxury with classic detail
We created a design that lasts, drawing on classical ornament across walls, interior doors, dropped ceilings and cornices, and on materials that are a byword for luxury: marble in several variations, natural walnut flooring, matte gold and shades of truffle and ivory. We brought in a note of modernity through straight forms and through the metal and glass in the cabinetry, complemented by multi-zone and ambient lighting and dense textiles for softness and warmth.
Architectural redesign for more space
To make the most of the space and gain the storage that was missing, we carried out a major architectural redesign of both bathrooms and the walls with the doors. In the hallway bathroom we hid a laundry area in a floor-to-ceiling closet, placed a large wardrobe in the main bedroom and again used our favourite trick: the main bathroom is entered through an interior door integrated into the wardrobe. We were lucky to realise the 3D concept in complete freedom, with no changes from the client; twelve months passed from demolition to handover.
